The Benefits
The 3 -Headed Monster that Kills Your Economics
-
1. The Contractors
It is no secret the longer a job takes, the wealthier your contractor becomes. And if you’re paying a contractor to do a task that encourages them to come back time and time again to “fix” your well, why will you ever think you are getting ahead?
-
2. The Downtime
Like the blurred vision you get after a long night at the bar, suddenly you start rationalizing shutting in wells that “make a bunch of paraffin.” Could it possibly be your well is trying to pump a giant rod of candle wax in your casing?
-
3. The Production
With money flowing out the door to pay contractors and employees, you’ve just decided to shut in wells that were making something….because it costs too much to fix them. Now you have fewer wells supporting the same costs.
How Will the Missaukee Rattler Help My Company?
Safety
Turns out old wells do have lots of pressure. If your well has equalized with the formation under your paraffin plug, a gauge on the casing at the surface will give you very bad information. Sometimes jostling the tubing can release an enormous amount of pressure on an unsuspecting rig crew, creating a potentially dangerous situation at surface as that pressure needs an outlet. The Missaukee Rattler will fix this issue.
Cut out the Contractor($)
Remember the multiple $1,000s in hot oiler bills? Or the $40,000 rig job spent knifing a 2bbl/day well for it to only go down again a week later? Yeah, we do too.
↓ Downtime, ↑ Income
Those “multiple wells down for hung rods” that total 5bbl/day is $100,000/year you could have put towards better equipment, another employee, working interest in a new drill, bonuses for everyone, or maybe just a rainy day fund.
Natural Flow
By letting the well flow naturally again, the formation fluid and gas can reach your facility. High Pressure always flows to Low Pressure. A paraffin plug produces what we like to a call Pressure Stagnation. Your formation pressure has equalized with your well pressure.
Environment
Coinciding with the Safety aspect, a blowout or a spill from a high pressured flow line inevitably leads to contractors, consultants, and the State swarming your location (and your wallet). Let’s work together to completely remove this scenario from even happening.
The Power of Time
Take a step back. Put it into perspective. Eliminate the excuses. The “Notorious Paraffin Maker” that sucked up your profits and time like a black hole has now been running for a year straight. Not having to make 4 trips to the well to knife paraffin that year freed up time for the rig to work on 4 other problem wells. It also freed your Pumpers up from having to troubleshoot the well.
